Hey everyone! I found a newly opened hotel in the Rama IV area: Seekers Finders Rama IV Hotel, SureStay Collection by Best Western. It’s perfect for independent travelers who love their freedom.
It’s close to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, an easy, relaxed walk away, and only 450 meters from the MRT subway. It’s a mid-range hotel that really suits travelers like me.
A design inspired by an old cinema
The site used to be the famous Laem Thong cinema in the Khlong Toei neighborhood, so the decor has a bit of a retro Thai feel mixed with modern touches, reflecting the original story of the place.
Premier Room
The room is fully equipped: a soft, comfy bed, a work corner, a lounge corner, plus a sink, microwave and fridge. It feels like having your own condo, so it works for both short and long stays. And the Wi-Fi is super fast!
Charlie’s by Tong Peng
A Chinese restaurant with an ’80s Retro American vibe, serving modern Cantonese food based on recipes from the old, well-known Tong Peng restaurant. The duck is delicious, and there’s char siu pork and dim sum packed with filling. Some guests even drive in from other provinces just to eat here.
Thai chocolate and coffee in the lobby
Don’t miss tasting Thai-grown chocolate at fair.chocolate, which sets out to be fair to everyone involved, starting with the cacao farmers. There are so many varieties, and the Chocorista has even won a national award. The lobby also has a small café, Black Magic Coffee Roastery, where the barista will help you find a coffee that suits your taste.
Rooftop swimming pool
The pool is on the rooftop. It’s a nice size, with city views to soak up at a slow, chilled-out pace.
Summary
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly hotel, with rates starting from just a little over 1,000 baht a night, I highly recommend it. The facilities are great value, the location is good, getting around is easy, and you can even earn Best Western Rewards points. Add this one to your list!
