A newly opened boutique hotel in the heart of the Surawong area that has charmingly transformed an old jewelry workshop into a beautifully designed hotel with an Art Deco, Gatsby-era feel.

A design with a story

What I loved from the very first step was decor that tells a story, with inspiration from gemstones and the history of the Surawong neighborhood woven into every corner. It gives the place a vibe that’s clearly different from typical chain hotels.

Rooms and common areas

The rooms feel warm, modern and practical. Many of them come with a classic-style bathtub, perfect for unwinding after a full day exploring Bangkok. The common areas include the Gems Pool, a fitness center and The Garden by Aiden, a bar with a striking, eye-catching design that’s great for chilling out and taking photos.

The hotel also has HARNN Heritage Spa Surawong, offering premium spa treatments from a Thai brand. I really loved it.

Club Ruby restaurant

Club Ruby is an all-day dining restaurant serving food throughout the day, including an à la carte buffet breakfast where every dish is freshly made to order. The chicken congee is so good, haha! Dinner is seriously great too. The chef makes everything look beautiful and delicious.

Location

It’s not far from Silom, Sathorn and Samyan, so getting around is easy, and you’re close to restaurants, cafés and city attractions.

Summary

If you’re looking for a beautifully designed hotel with a calm atmosphere that’s still right in the middle of Bangkok, this is another really interesting option.
